Italian feasting is as much about the experience as it is about the taste, which is why pasta often feels compelled to dance for diners. Indulge in a pleasing Italian-inspired feast with today’s Groupon for Solarino in the CBD:
• $44 two-course meal for two people – antipasto platter to share, any two mains and glass of wine or coffee/tea each ($105.90 value)• $54 two-course meal for two people - antipasto platter to share, any two mains and bottle of wine ($128.90 value)
With a warm ambience and creative menu inspired by traditional Sicilian flavours, the family-owned and run Solarino’s keeps palates pleased with a mouth-watering menu of fresh culinary creations. Diners dig into a premium antipasto platter, comprising light ricotta, delectable balsamic-marinated mushrooms, olives, fine salami, and artichoke hearts topped with goat’s cheese. Move on to main course and fill tummies with any main dish from the menu, such as linguini with mussels, anchovy, salsa verde and rocket; house-made pork, chilli and basil sausages with radicchio, warm grapes and house-made goats milk ricotta; or risotto with chicken, mushroom, tomato salsa and green olives. Groupazoids have the option to each enjoy a glass of wine or coffee or tea, or instead upgrade the dining deal and enjoy a bottle of wine to share.

Tucked away in Howie’s Place on popular Little Collins Street, Solarino is a contemporary European-style restaurant built upon good old fashioned Italian fare and hospitality. It’s a family-run venture, with chef Grant Phelan (Il Solito Posto, Ca De Vin) and chef Jade Amenta (Sicily, Magnolia Bakery), commanding the kitchen.
