Traditionally court jesters would amuse with three-belled hats, endless sleeve-hidden fake flowers and musings over whether a lace cravat should be compulsory royal attire. Hit the comic accelerator to full throttle with today’s deal: $35 comic package including three passes for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and eight passes to any other show at The Comic’s Lounge in North Melbourne (up to $275 value).
Funny-bone ticklers will roar with anticipation at the hysterical line-up of comedians just waiting for an audience as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Laugh until your jaws, bellies and little pinkie toes throb with elation as controversy-fuelled Bob Franklin, chick-magnet Dave Callan and refreshingly-debonair Tommy Siegert take to the stage Tuesday to Saturday. Swan on down Monday nights for an intimate evening with Adam Richard whose bent humour will send GHD sales into overdrive. Kick back Sunday nights with the ultimate parochial parody as Gab Rossi and Ben Price return in their hit, Melbourne the Musical, which answers important scientific questions, such as what is really bizarre about Chapel St? The Festival runs from Wednesday March 30 until Sunday April 24.
Conveniently located in North Melbourne and close to transport, The Comic’s Lounge over the past ten years has played centre stage to some the biggest names in comedy. Orally injecting Melbournites with their concerted comedy contraband are such performers as Dave Hughes, Corrine Grant, Jimeoin and Will Anderson. Also included in this deal are eight additional passes for entry to The Comic’s Lounge outside the scheduled Festival events.
Stardealers must reserve in advance for the Festival shows but are free to
rock-up unannounced to non-festival performances. Stardealers are welcome to redeem the
passes in any configuration they desire. Turn up alone for the three different
shows during the festival, or rope in two mates and enjoy a threesome for a night. Same goes for the non-festival passes, except this time you have eight passes to divvy up.
"What a fantastic night, we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and have never laughed so much. Food was fresh, tasty and exactly what we ordered. Highly recommended." - once_bitten, eatability.
