Takumi

Specialising in wagyu beef, Takumi has made a name for itself among Melbourne foodies for its selection of unique Japanese fare and artfully chosen ingredients. An intimate and vibrant vibe is established with food being cooked on a smokeless grill, with the ambience heightened further by the restaurant’s cosy décor. The bucket of coals used in cooking is equipped with powerful vents to suck away the smoke so diners can comfortably enjoy the show. The Bourke Street location is open seven days a week.

We've eaten here several times - mainly using Groupon vouchers & the food & service never disappoints. We had the 10 course degustation & loved every morsel. Being able to cook your own meat over the smokeless grill adds a bit of novelty to the meal. Love it & will be back!

This has been the Best Dining Experience we have had since moving to Melbourne in March this year!!! The setting is elegant, the staff are friendly & respectful & the food is simply AMAZING!!! I cannot wait to return for our next special occasion!!!
