The group builds a snow shelter to keep them safe and warm, and learns essential alpine survival skills for the wilderness, weather, navigation, group management, hydration and how to prevent hypothermia. Take a break for a tasty lunch cooked upon a portable stove along with a hot drink to warm up chilly chaps and chapettes. If weather permits, adventurous individuals then practice their new-found skills with a two-hour trek around the area, before bunkering down for the night and heading back to base first thing in the morning.
