Plagued by an inability to cook quality cuisine, some single ladies attempt to find their way to a man’s heart through his stomach by blowing raspberries on bellies. Let cooking skills do the talking with today’s Groupon for MUMU Grill:
- $69 for a three-hour tapas master class and dining experience for one person ($190 value)
- $136 for a three-hour tapas master class and dining experience for two people ($380 value)
- $199 for a three-hour tapas master class and dining experience for three people ($570 value)
Taught by MUMU Grill’s chef and owner, Craig Macindoe, these hands-on tapas classes sees students actively participate in mastering the art of authentic Italian and Spanish cuisine. With an award-winning Sydney steakhouse as the backdrop, fresh, sustainable produce at their disposal and chef hats donned, tapa-trainees learn to prepare restaurant-quality pizza and breads, baked in the onsite wood fire oven as well as a wide range of exotic rubs and pastes to be applied at different stages of the cooking process. Performed solo or with one or two partners in tapas crime, apprentices are talked and walked through a range of techniques needed to create their own tasty tapenades and up to six Spanish tapas favourites. Sessions wouldn’t be complete without a lesson on concocting Spanish-style punch, and newly-anointed gourmet gurus learn to whip up a selection of traditional sangrias to be enjoyed alongside all previously prepared dishes. Grouponites leave with heads and tummies full of food and information, as well as a $50 dining voucher to spend on their next visit to the restaurant.
I highly recommend this not just as a great cooking class, but a great night out period. If you aren’t afraid to get your hands a little dirty, then instead of just going out for dinner why not go out to learn how to cook something new in a fun environment and have something at the end of the evening that is more than just the bill!
