How do I log into My Account?

Accessing your Groupon account is very simple:
Visit the Groupon home page and click on ‘login’ at the top right-hand corner.
Then enter your email address and password.

I signed up to Groupon through my Facebook. How do I log in?

If you bought a voucher through your Facebook account, just press ‘Login with Facebook on the login page

I am having trouble accessing my account, how do I log in? (troubleshooting issues)

If you have trouble logging in, here are some things to check:

You do not have an account: Please note that if you have only subscribed to our newsletter, you are not a registered Groupon user and need to register as a new user at by clicking Register in the top right hand corner at www.groupon.com.au and filling in your details.

Incorrect email address: Your email address must be in this format: username@domain.com (or .net, .org, etc.). If you have more than one e-mail address, be sure that youre using the correct e-mail address and password combination for the account youre trying to access.

Incorrect password: If you are sure youre using the correct e-mail address, try to reset your password. Simply click on ’Forgot Password’, then follow the on-screen instructions. You will then receive an email with a link to reset your password (check your spam folder if you cannot see the email).

How do I update my information?

You can update your personal data by accessing your Account and clicking on ‘My Account’.

Groupon Credit and Referrals

Tell me more about the ‘Refer A Friend’ credit, what is it and how do I do it?

So glad you asked. All you need to do is recommend your favourite offers to friends, relatives and colleagues who haven’t heard of Groupon, or haven’t become a ‘Groupie’ yet. If someone who you have recommended a deal to signs up and purchases a deal within 72 hours, you will receive $10 in Groupon credit which can be put towards any of our fantastic deals!

On every deal you can find a link, which you can use to send invitations to friends using Facebook, Twitter or Email.

On your personal recommendation page, you can find your personal reference link, which you can post anywhere on the internet to get people to join up.

You can share Groupon with as many friends as you like, however we reserve the right to refuse or withdraw credit when we believe that the recommendation function is being abused. Afterwards, if any misuse continues, we reserve the right to disable your account completely.

Where is my referral credit?

Referral credit is applied automatically within seven days of a referred purchase being completed and settled. If your friend purchased the Groupon within 72 hours of clicking on your unique referral link and if this was the first Groupon they purchased, you will receive your credit.

You can check this by logging in to your account at www.groupon.com.au and clicking ‘Login’. Once you are signed in, click ‘My Account’ at the top right-hand side of the page and select ‘My Credit’ from the drop-down box. You can then view all of your credits.

Why haven’t I received my referral credit?

Multiple people referred your friend and your friend clicked a different link to subscribe or buy.
Your friend didnt click on your link to buy within 72 hours.
Your friend is not a first-time customer.
Your friend has not purchased their first Groupon yet (even though they have subscribed).
It has not been 24 hours since your friend made their purchase (or 72 hours if they purchased a weekend deal)

How do I use my Groupon Credit to make a purchase?

Once you have received your Groupon credit, the amount will appear in your account under ‘My Account’ and then ‘My Credit’. Groupon credit is valid for a whole year, and you may use it towards any of our deals. To use your credit, simply tick the ‘Use my Credit’ box at checkout. If you have any credit left after your purchase, you can still use it on your next purchase.

How do I subscribe to the newsletter and manage my subscription?

On the Groupon Website
In order to receive our Newsletter for a specific city, visit our websites home page, select the city you would like to receive offers for and enter your email address in the box.

In your Groupon account
You can manage your newsletter subscriptions by logging in to your account and accessing the ‘My Newsletters’ section. Here, you will be able to add and remove specific cities.

How do I unsubscribe?

At Groupon, we understand that for various reasons, some people may decide they no longer want to receive our emails. If you prefer not to hear from us, there are two ways to unsubscribe from Groupon newsletters:

At the bottom of your newsletter
If you wish to stop receiving Groupon newsletters, you can simply click on ‘Unsubscribe with one Click’ at the bottom of your daily newsletter. Note that using this link will only unsubscribe you from that particular newsletter, so you will need to unsubscribe from each newsletter you receive individually.

The simplest way to view which newsletter you are subscribed to is to click on ‘manage your subscriptions’ at the bottom of your daily newsletter.

Please allow up to 48 hours for subscription changes to take effect.

In your Groupon Account (as long as you have a registered account with us)
Simply log into www.groupon.com.au using your email address, click ‘My Account’ at the top right and select ‘My Newsletters’ from the drop down list. Then unselect the cities you no longer wish to receive newsletters from, hit ‘Save’ and voila! You’re done.

What if I subscribed to the Newsletter but I am not receiving it?

The first step is to check your email’s junk or spam mail folder. If the newsletters are being sent there, please add ‘info@news.groupon.com.au’ to your address book to ensure you get emails from Groupon.

If you cannot find our newsletter in your spam folder, we advise you to try re-subscribing by adding your email address in the box in the top right corner of your city page on www.groupon.com.au.

Groupon Deals

How do I buy a Groupon deal?

Just click the ‘Buy Now!’ button before the offer ends. A charge will be made to your credit card or PayPal account and you will be sent a confirmation email. If your deal requires a voucher for redemption, you can print your voucher by visiting the ‘My Orders’ page and clicking ‘Your Voucher’.

To use your credit, simply tick the ‘Use my Credit’ box at the checkout. If you have credit left after your purchase, this can still be used towards your next purchase.

Can I buy a Groupon deal for a friend?

Yes, unless the ‘Rules’ on your voucher or the Fine Print state otherwise, gift away! If the option is available, you can select the gift option which is situated below the ‘Buy Now’ box on the deal page. Fill in your friend’s name and your name, and opt to email directly to your friend or print yourself to give as a gift. You can also add a personalised message!

I bought a Groupon voucher – how do I use it?

Once you’ve paid, you’ll receive an email confirmation with a copy of your voucher, which can be printed out. The email will also include a link to your ‘My Groupons‘ page, which has your voucher in your account just in case you lose it. All vouchers are used one of two ways which can be found under the ‘How to Redeem’ section on the deal page as well as your voucher.
Automatic Redemption
Automatic redemption is mainly used for Groupon Goods deals. This means once you have purchased your Groupon all that is required of you is to double check that you have provided a suitable delivery address (we do not accept PO boxes). Then sit back, relax and wait for your product to arrive.

Manual Redemption
Manual redemption will require you to either redeem your voucher through the merchant’s website, or by emailing or phoning the merchant to make a booking. Please note that most vouchers are ‘subject to availability’.

I bought a Groupon deal – can I return the voucher?

We are always here to help! We have a number of ways we can assist, depending on the reason you’re asking:

‘I just changed my mind.’ Any unredeemed local and travel voucher may be returned for a refund within the first seven days after purchase. After that, all sales are final.

‘I redeemed my voucher and was disappointed in my experience.’ We want to ensure every customer’s Groupon experience is a great one. If your experience wasn’t everything you dreamed of and more, please contact our amazing Customer Care team who will be able to look into the matter further and work with you to make it right.

‘I tried to redeem my Groupon voucher for the amount paid and the business refused to honour it.’ If you were adhering to the Fine Print, we will make sure you can redeem your voucher as stated or give you a refund.

‘I tried to redeem my Groupon voucher and the business was closed.’ If anything happens that makes it impossible for you to redeem your Groupon voucher, we’ll find an alternate resolution.

I bought a Groupon Voucher and was charged an international transaction fee. Why?

If this happens to you, please contact our Customer Care team with a screenshot of the fees that you were charged, and they will attend to the problem. Please see our Terms and Conditions section for further information.

Groupon Vouchers

Where is my Groupon voucher?

Groupon vouchers are emailed out when the deal you have purchased has ended, when the countdown clock on the deal reaches zero, or sometimes earlier. If you cannot find it, please verify that your Groupon voucher hasnt been redirected to your junk or spam Mail folders. To prevent this from happening, be sure to add info@news.groupon.com.au to your Safe Senders list.

You can also access and download your Groupon voucher at any time by logging into your Groupon account, under ’My Account’ and then select ‘My Orders’. The Groupon will appear in your account with the date of purchase.

How do I redeem my Groupon?

Automatic redemptions - With an automatic redemption, all details can also be found on the original deal page under the ‘How to Redeem’ section beneath the image. All you need is to have your Groupon in hand; the merchant will take care of the rest!

Manual redemptions – Some vouchers require a manual redemption. To do this, simply click on the merchant’s link under ‘How to Redeem’ on the deal page and follow the prompts. Once you have successfully redeemed your voucher you will receive an email confirmation (see below for example).

A few important things to keep in mind:

You will not be able to use your Groupon until the Groupon code is active. Unless stated otherwise on your vouchers fine print, vouchers typically activate at 8pm on the first working day after the date you receive your voucher. You will not be able to use your Groupon after the expiration date, which will be clearly stated on the voucher and on the deals fine print.

Be careful, some Groupons include a recommended or a mandatory book-by-date! Dont miss that date! If you do you will not be able to use your voucher even if it has have not expired.

If you redeemed your Groupon online, simply copy the Groupon code from the PDF of your voucher, taking care to leave out any spaces, and paste it directly into the relevant space provided on the merchants website.

Can I redeem my Groupon on my mobile?

Yes you can! With our Groupon Mobile App, you can purchase, manage and redeem Groupons directly from your mobile device.

Can I use my Groupon the same day I buy it?

You can use your Groupon between the time your Groupon code activates (usually 8 pm on the first working day after the date you received your voucher) and its expiration date, which will be clearly stated on your Groupon and in the deal’s fine print.

However, please note that some Groupon deals can be very popular. If you have purchased a Groupon for services, we highly recommend you book well in advance. Booking times are subject to availability, and waiting until the end of the vouchers validity period to book could prevent you from obtaining a date and time which is suitable for you.

I am having problems redeeming my voucher. Why? (troubleshooting issues)

If your Groupon code is not working, please follow these steps: Make sure you are using the Groupon code, and not the REF number or security code on your voucher.

Make sure your Groupon code is active. The activation time can be found in the fine print section of your voucher. If it isnt stated on the fine print, assume that the time of activation is 8pm on the next working day after the deal has ended.

Check that your voucher has not expired. Once the voucher expires, the code will not work. You can check the date on your vouchers fine print.

If you redeem your voucher online, take care to leave out any spaces when entering the Groupon code into the relevant space provided on the website.

International customers

For our international customers who are looking to purchase one of our outrageously amazing Australian deals, you will be able to do so by using or setting up your personal Pay Pal account and having an Australian residential address for the delivery of goods. Put simply, if we think the product is worth having and we can offer a good deal on it, we’ll do so!

I bought goods through Groupon – how do I get my stuff?

Most of the time, you won’t have to do anything once you order, aside from entering your correct delivery address at the checkout— this is considered an automatic redemption. Just sit back, relax and wait for your goods to arrive. Well send you an order confirmation and provide your shipping information to our supplier or distributor who will ship your order on our behalf.

In some instances, you will be redirected to the merchants website to complete the purchase process directly through them. More commonly, your voucher will contain redemption instructions that will ask you to enter your super-secret redemption code on the merchant’s site to get your stuff.

Is there a shipping fee?

Well here’s the good news. Nearly all shipping fees are included in the price of the voucher, however some deals also require an additional postage and handling fee, this information can be located under the ‘Fine Print’ section of the deal page.

How can I track my goods?

You can track your goods via our customer contact page contact.groupon.com.au/ When you are on this page, fill in all the fields. A small truck will appear on the side of the screen with a delivery update for your goods.

May I exchange a product I buy on Groupon Goods for a different item?

At this time we do not offer replacements, exchanges, or clones. Please read about refunds and returns below.

Whom do I contact with questions or concerns about my Groupon Goods order?

Are Groupon Goods products covered by a warranty?

Most deals that come with a warranty will have it stated on the original deal page. Although we do our best to make sure that we only sell the highest quality of goods, unfortunately not all products come with a manufacturer’s warranty. If you would like to know more, please contact our friendly Customer Care team who will be able to advise.

Can I return items I buy from Groupon Goods for a refund?

As always, be sure to check the deals Fine Print to see if there are specific terms regarding return options. As a rule, large, oversized items do not qualify for free returns. An item is considered oversized if it weighs more than 10kgs, or its total linear dimension is more than 120cm.Books, beauty products (excluding electronics), undergarments, food and other perishable items, any items marked ‘final sale,’ and items that have been worn are non-refundable and may not be returned.

Some items offered by Groupon Goods have a custom return policy, so make sure to check the Fine Print before you buy. In general we do not accept returns, however, if your item arrives damaged, defective or missing parts, well happily accept this.

How do I return items I buy from Groupon Goods?

A Customer Care representative will then assess your request and advise you of the next steps, or alternatively request further information from you.

If your item is eligible for a free return, a Customer Care representative will email you a unique URL linking you to our partner ParcelPoint (click here to read the terms of service associated with using or accessing the ParcelPoint services), where you will be directed to fill in your return details, choose the most convenient returns location and print a returns label.

When do I get my money back from a returned Groupon Goods product?

If your Groupon Goods purchase qualifies for a refund and you’ve followed the return instructions, we will refund the amount you paid shortly after your shipment has been processed. While refunds are typically issued quickly, please allow up to 30 days from the date you return the product.

Applicable shipping charges and restocking fees (if any are disclosed in the terms of the offer or negotiated upon your request to return your purchase) may be deducted from your refund.

How do I book my Travel Groupon?

You can find all of the necessary information on the original deal page under the ‘How to redeem’ section. In this section there will be contact information for the merchant either via email or phone, or sometimes both. Please also make sure to read the Fine Print carefully as to the terms and conditions of the Groupon voucher.

What if I can’t book before the promotional value expires?

If you’re having any issues at all redeeming your voucher please contact Groupon Customer Care right away to notify them of the problem. The Customer Care team will look into this matter in the hope of providing you with a solution.

What happens if I need to cancel my trip after I have booked it?

Check the fine print and details of the Groupon Travel offer for the cancellation policy before purchasing the Groupon voucher. If the policy allows for cancellations, call the merchant immediately to cancel your reservation. Please note, you may be charged a cancellation fee.

May I buy more than one Groupon Travel voucher?

It depends! The fine print varies for each Groupon Travel offer, so check it for any restrictions. For some Groupon Travel offers, you can combine more than one voucher for a longer stay.

Do I need to have the same credit card with me at check-in that I used to purchase my Travel booking?

Where can I make special requests related to my hotel stay?

What happens if I need to cancel my Travel booking?

I bought a Groupon voucher – how do I use it?

Once you’ve paid, you’ll receive an email confirmation with a copy of your voucher, which can be printed out. The email will also include a link to your ‘My Groupons‘ page, which has your voucher in your account just in case you lose it. All vouchers are used one of two ways which can be found under the ‘How to Redeem’ section on the deal page as well as your voucher.
Automatic Redemption
Automatic redemption is mainly used for Groupon Goods deals. This means once you have purchased your Groupon all that is required of you is to double check that you have provided a suitable delivery address (we do not accept PO boxes). Then sit back, relax and wait for your product to arrive.

Manual Redemption
Manual redemption will require you to either redeem your voucher through the merchant’s website, or by emailing or phoning the merchant to make a booking. Please note that most vouchers are ‘subject to availability’.

I bought a Groupon deal – can I return the voucher?

We are always here to help! We have a number of ways we can assist, depending on the reason you’re asking:

‘I just changed my mind.’ Any unredeemed local and travel voucher may be returned for a refund within the first seven days after purchase. After that, all sales are final.

‘I redeemed my voucher and was disappointed in my experience.’ We want to ensure every customer’s Groupon experience is a great one. If your experience wasn’t everything you dreamed of and more, please contact our amazing Customer Care team who will be able to look into the matter further and work with you to make it right.

‘I tried to redeem my Groupon voucher for the amount paid and the business refused to honour it.’ If you were adhering to the Fine Print, we will make sure you can redeem your voucher as stated or give you a refund.

‘I tried to redeem my Groupon voucher and the business was closed.’ If anything happens that makes it impossible for you to redeem your Groupon voucher, we’ll find an alternate resolution.

Where is my Groupon voucher?

Groupon vouchers are emailed out when the deal you have purchased has ended, when the countdown clock on the deal reaches zero, or sometimes earlier. If you cannot find it, please verify that your Groupon voucher hasnt been redirected to your junk or spam Mail folders. To prevent this from happening, be sure to add info@news.groupon.com.au to your Safe Senders list.

You can also access and download your Groupon voucher at any time by logging into your Groupon account, under ’My Account’ and then select ‘My Orders’. The Groupon will appear in your account with the date of purchase.

How do I redeem my Groupon?

Automatic redemptions - With an automatic redemption, all details can also be found on the original deal page under the ‘How to Redeem’ section beneath the image. All you need is to have your Groupon in hand; the merchant will take care of the rest!

Manual redemptions – Some vouchers require a manual redemption. To do this, simply click on the merchant’s link under ‘How to Redeem’ on the deal page and follow the prompts. Once you have successfully redeemed your voucher you will receive an email confirmation (see below for example).

A few important things to keep in mind:

You will not be able to use your Groupon until the Groupon code is active. Unless stated otherwise on your vouchers fine print, vouchers typically activate at 8pm on the first working day after the date you receive your voucher. You will not be able to use your Groupon after the expiration date, which will be clearly stated on the voucher and on the deals fine print.

Be careful, some Groupons include a recommended or a mandatory book-by-date! Dont miss that date! If you do you will not be able to use your voucher even if it has have not expired.

If you redeemed your Groupon online, simply copy the Groupon code from the PDF of your voucher, taking care to leave out any spaces, and paste it directly into the relevant space provided on the merchants website.

I am having problems redeeming my voucher. Why? (troubleshooting issues)

If your Groupon code is not working, please follow these steps: Make sure you are using the Groupon code, and not the REF number or security code on your voucher.

Make sure your Groupon code is active. The activation time can be found in the fine print section of your voucher. If it isnt stated on the fine print, assume that the time of activation is 8pm on the next working day after the deal has ended.

Check that your voucher has not expired. Once the voucher expires, the code will not work. You can check the date on your vouchers fine print.

If you redeem your voucher online, take care to leave out any spaces when entering the Groupon code into the relevant space provided on the website.

I bought goods through Groupon – how do I get my stuff?

Most of the time, you won’t have to do anything once you order, aside from entering your correct delivery address at the checkout— this is considered an automatic redemption. Just sit back, relax and wait for your goods to arrive. Well send you an order confirmation and provide your shipping information to our supplier or distributor who will ship your order on our behalf.

In some instances, you will be redirected to the merchants website to complete the purchase process directly through them. More commonly, your voucher will contain redemption instructions that will ask you to enter your super-secret redemption code on the merchant’s site to get your stuff.

Is there a shipping fee?

Well here’s the good news. Nearly all shipping fees are included in the price of the voucher, however some deals also require an additional postage and handling fee, this information can be located under the ‘Fine Print’ section of the deal page.

How can I track my goods?
