Constructed in 1864 to carry passengers between England and Adelaide, City of Adelaide is one of the world's oldest surviving clipper ships. With the iron frame and timber hull, it was believed to be pinnable of sailing ship design. It made 23 voyages and carried an estimate of 250,000 people.
