Located within a walking distance from the Bruce section of Canberra Institute of Technology, The Ganjeez is a contemporary Indian restaurant. With the name being a word pun of the word Ganga, the longest river in India, the venue aims to bring a humorous modern take on the traditions of Indian cuisine. The bar serving a selection of cocktails and other bubblies is covered in photo paintings of Indian themes and the walls of the dining room are covered in colourful murals. This creates an interesting contrast to the simple furniture sporting black colours. The menu is changed seasonally and the head chef takes every opportunity to experiment with presentation, flavours and textures, bringing new trends in cooking to the classic dishes.
