The Experience
The adventure begins in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney or Brisbane, where Groupies board a plane bound for Bagdogra in the beautiful Darjeeling district of India. An expert Himalayang Trekking guide will be waiting at the airport to transport travellers to Gangtok, an ancient Buddhist pilgrimage town. After a day of local sightseeing, peeps embark on a six-day trek through spectacular landscapes to Dzongri, where they witness panoramic views of Mt Everest and Mt Kanchenjunga as the sun rises. All meals are included on the trek, and accommodation is provided throughout. At the end of the tour, explorers are returned to Bagdogra where they fly home again.

The Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up at Bagdogra Airport/New Jalpaiguri Rly Station/East Nepal Border. Transfer to Gangtok with a halt at Rangpoo for Sikkim entry formalities (1,600m/5,248ft)

Day 2: Local sightseeing in Gangtok and obtain trek permit

Day 3: Drive to Yuksom via Rabongla and Tashiding (1,780m/5,838ft)

Day 4: Trek Yuksom - Bakhim (2,743m/8,997ft)

Day 5: Trek Bakkhim - Tshoka (3,000m/9,840ft)

Day 6: Trek Tshoka - Dzongri (4,030m/13,218ft)
