I had an amazing experience I got microneedling done and I can see a dramatic change and can't wait to go in for my next session. She was very relaxing and soothing and I would recommend The lady was very communicative on what she was doing and what happens and what to expect. Very professional. 10/10 experience

My cousin's disappointing gift scalp massage experience: "I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience that was unprofessional and did not provide relaxation. I was ever so kindly gifted a Groupon from my cousin for a 45-minute Japanese scalp massage and treatment. Upon arriving at the clinic, I was asked to fill out a new patient form. In doing so, I made a point to indicate to the lady that I was experiencing hair loss, and requested a light massage. The lady said she would also refrain from using extra hot water during the treatment, as this can act to accelerate hair loss. The first part of the session was to have a camera inspect my scalp and determine its health quality. Before the lady had even placed the camera on my scalp, and only after she had briefly touched my hair, she said “wow look at all the flakes!” When the camera was placed on my scalp, what appeared on the screen seemed to be a totally different scalp to mine. It looked like it hadn’t been washed in months, and the whole surface area was covered in flakes, which is absolutely not the case for me. Shortly after, the lady tried to upsell me to purchase an exfoliation. During the treatment, the lady exerted an excessive amount of force on my scalp several times, despite my request to do the opposite. She also at one point used extremely hot water on my scalp and I had to ask her to turn the temperature down. At the end of the treatment, my hair was still sopping wet, knotted and waxy from the product that had been used. The lady asked me to sit up so that she could massage my upper back. To my surprise, she thanked me and told me I could get changed when I was ready. After the lady had left the room to give me some privacy, I sat on the bed, terribly confused. How on earth would it have been okay for her to send me on my way, with sopping wet, waxy and knotted hair? Surely it’s a standard in the beauty industry that the client’s hair must be blow dried before they leave. I went to the main room and asked for a hairdryer. I blow dried my hair in the bathroom to a reasonable degree before heading back into the treatment room to get changed. In doing so, I slipped on a patch of water that had not been cleaned and was clearly a hazard. Thankfully I regained my balance. The lady saw this and apologised profusely, as it could have been the perfect recipe for a disaster. Overall, there was nothing Japanese about this treatment. I did not find the experience to have been professional, relaxing or attentive to customer needs. Following the treatment, I lost excessive amounts of hair likely due to the force exerted and the hot water. The beauty industry is meant to adhere to certain standards that make their clientele feel safe and as if their best interests are at heart. As this clinic did not make me feel this way, I would not recommend this clinic to anyone."
