I bought a nanoplasty Groupon for Catwalk and the experience was disappointing. My hair is only just above my shoulders, so based on the fine print I expected the mid-length surcharge of $70. Instead, I was charged the full $120 for “long hair” because they said my hair was thick. It really felt like they were looking for a reason to apply the highest charge.
I was asked if I had sensitive skin, which I do, but no one explained what that meant for the treatment. They also didn’t wash my hair beforehand, and from everything I’ve read, that step is essential for a good result. During the treatment my scalp became really itchy, and the only solution offered was a tail comb so I could scratch it myself. The older lady acknowledged my crazy scratching and gave me something softer to scratch my scalp, which I appreciated.
Overall, it felt like they draw people in with the Groupon deal, try to upsell, and then deliver a treatment that doesn’t match the standard you’d hope for.
