In Vietnam, travellers can visit the World Heritage Listed My Son Sanctuary, Cu Chi tunnel system, the city of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and sail through the scenic Mekong Delta and Halong Bay. In Laos, tourists can delve into the historic sights of Luang Prabang boasting centuries-old temples and Phousi Hill with panoramic views of the city, and sail through the sparkling waters to Pak Ou Caves housing thousands of Buddha statues.

The Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh, transfer to the hotel and an overnight stay
  • Day 2: Take a journey to My Tho and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, take a boat cruise and enjoy lunch at the Tortoise Islet; then, take a boat ride to An Khanh in Ben Tre and enjoy the traditional sounds of Vietnamese folk music performed by the locals and visit a coconut candy family business before heading back to Ho Chi Minh
  • Day 3: Head to Cu Chi to see the area’s famous tunnels and learn about their significance during the Vietnam War and explore Ho Chi Minh City
  • Day 4: Enjoy some leisure time before a transfer to the airport for a flight to Da Nang; check-in to the hotel in Da Nang
  • Day 5: Spend a leisure day in Da Nang to take in its charm
  • Day 6: Take a tour to visit the serene Monkey Mountain, also known as Son Tra, home to the marble statue of the Lady Buddha and take in the views of the Da Nang coastline; enjoy lunch with a local family and learn more about the country’s customs before a transfer to a hotel in Hoian
  • Day 7: Leisure day in Hoian, a peaceful port town blending Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese influences
  • Day 8: Pay a visit to My Son Holy Land, surrounded by mountains 4th-century religious centre with imposing temples, towers and ancient buildings; take a boat trip down River Thu Bon and visit a traditional carpentry village; transfer back to the hotel
  • Day 9: Enjoy some free time before a transfer to the airport for a flight to Hanoi; check-in to a hotel in Hanoi and leisure time for the rest of the day

  • Day 12: Start the day from Tai Chi aboard, cruise to Titov Island and spend some time swimming before heading back to the harbour; participate in a cooking class and enjoy a Vietnamese lunch on board before returning to Hanoi
  • Day 13: Transfer to the airport for a flight to Laos; check-in to the hotel in Luang Prabang
  • Day 14: Take a long-tailed boat for a scenic cruise surrounded by limestone cliffs where the Pak Ou Caves with thousands of Buddha statues are located; visit Ban Xang Hai village to learn more about the production of rice whiskey and taste the final product, stop at Ban Xang Khong village famous for its wood paper and Lao silk weaving and head to Kuang Sy Falls, a turquoise waterfall; leisure time for the rest of the day
  • Day 15: Take a city tour to see the wonders of Luang Prabang: see the Royal Palace, now the National Museum, the 16th-century temple of Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, and Wat Xiengthong temples, and climb 328 steps to the top of Phousi Hill to watch the sun go down
  • Day 16: Leisure day
  • Day 17: Leisure time and transfer to the airport; the tour ends
