Mercure Penrith A very convenient location. I think the hotel looks better and is more comfortable, now that it has been renovated and refurbished. I appreciate the convenience of the guest laundry and the microwave ovens in the guest lounge. Just FYI- Panthers did not issue me with a membership pass for the duration of my stay. The staff at Mercure told me they would do that.

Poor mattress otherwise great. The bed let it down, other than a worn out mattress the rest of the stay was very good. I woke up with sore hips. Plenty of hot water, quiet, fantastic staff. Very close to 11 restaurants inside the Penrith Panthers Club.

Pullman’s poorer cousin Stayed for two nights for work , having also recently stayed at the Pullman across the road. While the stay was okay, the experience at the Pullman was greatly superior. At the Pullman The rooms are newer and more spacious, while the breakfast was beautifully prepared and presented. At the Mercure, the room ( level 1) was showing signs of age with a very tine bathroom and chipped furniture. Breakfast is served at the Club which was like being on a school camp with food presented from bay marees of questionable quality and age! The staff are great at the Mercure and the gym was actually more spacious and had more options. My choice????? If the price is similar then take the Pullman.

Good location Good location and quick access to leagues club. Room- bed comfortable, heating good, clean bathroom and room. Our room was on the ground floor and the furthest away from the front door - it was okay. Yes, would stay again on a higher floor.

Unless you want to party all night, go elsewhere Staying in a motel next to a club is not conducive for sleeping. The club had an outdoor band, then DJ until 2am. They may as well have been playing on our balcony. I would avoid this motel at all costs. At midnight, I enquired to the front desk as to when we might be able to sleep. I was advised it would finish at 2am, and he agreed it was too loud and would talk to the club about turning it down pffft as if they would agree to that. If anything, it became louder. There are plenty of other motels in the area, and I would advise using one of them.
