The Hotel: Pullman Bali Legian Beach
Pullman Bali Legian Beach boasts pure paradise and island life charms, all just 20 minutes away from the airport. Guests can make use of the garden, wellness center and fitness centre, while the little ones can have fun in the kids’ pool. The resort is tucked away between the famous Kuta and Legian Beaches, making it a great spot for surfing lessons and sunset walks. Water parks, art markets, and malls are in close proximity as well.
Groupies can settle in their Deluxe Rooms which are kitted out in an urban chic style and feature an array of facilities for a fuss-free stay. Each day can be started with breakfast, the package also includes a set menu lunch or dinner per stay.

The Area: Legian, Bali
With Legian’s weather offering warm and mild temperatures year round, there is nothing more relaxing than soaking up some sun and cooling off with a leisurely swim on Bali’s famous beaches. Popular choices nearby include Seminyak, while the black sand beaches of Canggu are great for surfing. Those after a bit of culture could hire a car or driver and check out Bali’s magical temples, from clifftop Ulu Watu to beautiful Tanah Lot which is best experienced at sunset; or head inland to Ubud, which is famous for its arts and crafts, Balinese silver particularly.
Retreaters who want to lose track of time but not money spend the day indulging in well-priced massages, Javanese ‘lulur’ body scrubs, manicures, pedicures and hair braiding at one of the many day spas located at every second doorstep. For getaway groups travelling with kids, a visit to Waterbom Bali is a must, with the variety of slides and water activities to choose a great day’s entertainment for all ages.

We didn’t get to go as we had to isolate because of covid. Great Pacific confirmed we could rebook and held our payment as a credit. Since then we don’t get replies to our emails or phone calls and will not refund. The options offered on their website are dated for last year and they say they have no staff to help. Even though we have bought through Groupon they have not helped us and say we have to try and contact the company who hold our money as the voucher purchased is shown as used, it hasn’t been. We are stuck, we are $1200 out of pocket with no way of sorting it out. Very disappointing and won’t use again. In the current climate families with extra needs kids cannot afford to lose that kind of money.

I wouldn’t recommend booking breaks with flights included as the times of flights were really bad and you have no control over that. But the hotel we stayed at was great, comfortable, clean, great location. Really friendly staff/ owners who were very helpful and even let us use the room all day on check out day as our return flight was so late at night, allowed us more comfort and enjoyment
