Oscar & Melissa were captivated by the small factory manufacturing handmade Pastizzi back in 2014. However, the story of “The Original Maltese Pastizzi Company” began when the business was founded by the Portelli family in 2005. Charlie & Jane Portelli began something wonderful that Melissa & Oscar have built into the famous ORIGINAL PASTIZZI brand of gourmet excellence. Oscar & Melissa, together with the team @The Original Maltese Pastizzi Company are passionate about all Maltese Cuisine, keeping traditional but also creating some new and exciting variations. Over the last 8 years, the company has grown from manufacturing pastizzi, to now including a wide range of Maltese foods and Imported specialty groceries.
