The food is always great, despite none of the staff being Japanese (they all seem to be Indonesian Chinese).

Great food. The menu is plentiful. All food were cooked very well and we especially like the barramundi and kingfish sashimi. Chef was attentive and so are the waitresses. Highly recommended.

Something about this place has lost its special quality. The top grade option beef had gristle ona few slices (should have been sliced off by the chef) and wait staff constantly ask if everything is ok whilst missing the important things. For example, explaining the sauces when we were seated and what's good with what. And then not explaining it when the meat or seafood is served. And then asking us afterwards if we tried it with the right sauces and saying oh you should have tried it with the ponzo. Well duh you could have aid that before! Then it was also my birthday and despite being acknowledged at entry they asked before dessert if it was a special occasion so they could add a sparkler to the dessert. Communication! Then cooking off the fatty bits and leaving the. On the table when dessert is served. Clear the table completely and don't leave fat and gristle next to the crepes! Then there was the party next door slamming shots, screaming yelling and swearing f and a and c words throughout the second half of dinner as the tequila kicked in. Rocks tappanyaki used to be a five star experience. Food was good but presentation, communication and professionalism was sorely lacking what it used to be and didn't come close to the happy memories have enjoyed there in years gone by.
