Yes, you can - you can purchase a non-renewing six or twelve month subscription for someone else as a gift. Make sure you add an Ancestry coupon to save on your purchase, too!

Yes! Just search ‘Ancestry’ in iTunes or the Google Play store form family history on the go!

Select the ‘Trees’ tab from anywhere on the website. Here, you can select the family tree you want to manage, and go to ‘Tree settings’. Here, you can view and change information, and adjust your privacy settings, too.

If you want to end your Ancestry subscription, cancel the subscription through iTunes; or by heading to your account and selecting ‘cancel subscription’ in your account options.

To check the status of your DNA results, you will need to sign in to your Ancestry account and select the ‘DNA’ tab. Just have a look at the status bar - you’ll see your results here when they are ready.

Activating Your Ancestry DNA Test

Connect your DNA kit to your account by navigating to the ‘Activate your DNA’ page. Log in to your account and follow the provided instructions. Ensure you have the activation code from your test kit handy, as you’ll need it until your DNA results are processed. Ancestry cannot start processing your DNA sample until you’ve activated the test.

Accessing Your Ancestry DNA Results

To view the progress of your DNA results, log in to your Ancestry account and go to the DNA tab. Once your results are ready, the status bar will update, and you’ll be able to explore your DNA story, matches, and circles by clicking on each category.
