The Experience

The Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi – Airport pick-up and transfer to hotel – Explore Hanoi Old Quarter at leisure – Overnight stay in Hanoi

Day 2: Hanoi to Halong Bay (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included) – Transfer to Tuan Chau International Cruise Port – Embark on Halong Bay cruise – Overnight stay on board

Day 3: Halong Bay to Hanoi (Breakfast and lunch included) – Morning cruise activities – Return to Hanoi – Overnight stay in Hanoi

Day 4: Hanoi to Mai Chau (Breakfast and lunch, Dinner): Transfer to Mai Chau, do activities such as cycling to discover the beautiful Mai Chau valley. You will pass through fields and villages and get the opportunity to discover more about the unique cultural activities of the White Thai ethnic group….– Overnight stay in Mai Chau

Day 5: Mai Chau - Pu Luong Nature Reserve (Breakfast and lunch, Dinner included) Board the car to reach the beautiful Pu Luong Reserve and start the exciting day. – Overnight stay in Puluong

Day 6: Pu Luong- Ninh Binh (Breakfast and lunch, Dinner included) morning trekking then start the journey to reach Halong Bay on land, Ninh Binh. Arrival at the lodge and free time to relax around the pool or on the terrace to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Overnight at Trang An Ecolodge Resort.

Day 7: Ninh Binh- Hanoi (Breakfast and lunch) Cycling to Hoa Lu Ancient Capital. Back to the X century, the ancient Vietnamese capital was the place of the emperors of the dynasty of Dinh, Tien Le and Ly. Enjoy a boat tour in the wonderful landscape in between karst pics covered by jungle, passing through a cave and watching temples. It is a world apart and a unique destination in Vietnam.

Transfer back to Hanoi with an estimated arrival time around 18.30pm – Overnight stay in Hanoi

Day 8: Hanoi to Da Nang – Flight to Da Nang – Transfer to Hoi An – Explore Hoi An Ancient Town – Overnight stay in Hoi An (Breakfast)

Day 9: Hoi An free day – Relax or explore at your own pace – Optional activities: cycling, beach visit, cooking class – Overnight stay in Hoi An (Breakfast)

Day 10: My Son Holyland- Thu Bon River sunset tour (Breakfast) Drive to My Son holyland -The World Cultural Heritage. walking through the landscape, exploring Champa cultures and the remaining structures with our local English-speaking guide. Then back to Hoi An for a beautiful sunset river scenery on the biggest river in Vietnam Central named Thu Bon River.

Day 11: Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast) – Drive you to the airport then get to Ho Chi Minh City. The rest of the day is spent at your leisure, discovering the most lively city in Vietnam. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City

Day 12: Cu Chi Tunnels tour (Breakfast included) – Explore historic war tunnels – Return to Ho Chi Minh City – Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City free day – Optional sightseeing and shopping – Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast)

Just back from Vietnam and had a wonderful time. The people, food, and places we visited during our trip will provide everlasting memories. We chose the 3 star option which provided comfortable, clean and central accomodation to allow us to explore local areas. We paid for additional tours which were also great fun. Thank you to Tammy from Halongtoursbooking who was amazing in helping us with our itinerary which changed slightly from that shown based on our requirements. Communication was clear, timely and helpful from organising and throughout the tour itself. She was always contactable through WhatsApp to answer questions as well as confirmation of timings and pickups. Definitely recommend this trip!

Though we booked the tour through Groupon, the nuts and bolts were organised directly with Halong Tours, and our contact there was the fabulous, Alice Nguyen, always available via email and when in Vietnam, her phone. She even organised our visas, which we were able to print. The tours were fabulous, from the spectacular rock formations of Halong Bay, to the haunting, misty rice terraces of Sapa, and Cat Cat village. All hotels were excellent. Tours perfectly timed and everyrhing and more as per promotion! In Hanoi we stayed in the 'Old Quarter', which was a maze of colourful streets and narrow laneways and really came to life in the evenings. Oh, and don't miss 'Train St', the word renowed line that runs along a narrow lane between old houses, though now rather over-commercialised, and beware of the million cafes where they will try to keep you there, so do your homework re trian times. Overal, this tour was brilliant, all went exactly to plan and on time. And Did I say 'Ms Alice' was wonderful? Can we recommend this tour....YES!

Alice from Halong Tours was amazing with helping to book everything including extra day trips and extra hotel nights. We haven't got to Vietnam yet but all the prep is now done for what is hopefully going to be an amazing tour

My family and I had a great experience booking our trip with Alice at Halong tours booking. It made it so easy to have everything organised for us, and well worth the price. The tours and Halong Bay trip included in our package were all really nice. Alice helped us customise our package to suit our needs. She was also great and super responsive in assisting us with some emergency visa issues we had. Would recommend!
