Kylie was delightful. She spent time explaining all the option to me and then was very delicate as she applied my lashes. I will definitely be going back to Melb Art Beauty and specifically to Kylie!

I don’t get my nails done often but since I have 2 events coming up this week, I decided to splurge a bit and get nail and eyelash extensions. I booked weeks in advance (did it in July for an August booking) and enquired about the prices. I asked how much nail extensions cost and I was told 100. Fair enough I guess (still a bit high in my opinion but again, I don’t get manicures often). You would think that includes gel colour and the actual manicure process, right? IT DOESN’T. I felt like I was being pranked because again, the literal nail extension (you know, the plastic nails) was a different cost to the other components (colour + cleaning). So I had the option of choosing the “cheaper” nail extensions for 89 (wow a big discount) PLUS (which they told me while I was already getting my nails done) another 89 for colour (69 if you choose the “regular colours”??). I felt like an idiot but I said yeah sure (still having trust that I’ll be getting super cute nails at the end lol). So again, this appointment was for nails and eyelashes so I couldn’t see what the nail tech was doing all this time. I picked out this metallic purple colour and no one said anything about the possibility of the finish not being smooth (something about it being a metallic colour not being a guarantee that it’ll dry smooth??) So I’m just there, 2 hours and eyes closed. My lashes turned out really nice BUT THE NAILS HOLY CRAP. I regret not taking a photo but you know when you try your best to put a screen protector on your phone yourself and it’s just full of tiny bubbles?? That’s how my nails were plus some weird squiggly air pockets on the sides. It wasn’t like just on 1 or 2, it was all 10. Horrible horrible job! I was just speechless and really mad. I asked why the nails turned out so bad and then the manager (I’m assuming she was the manager on duty) had to translate what the nail tech said. Apparently because it’s a metallic colour, it tends to not be smooth?? Like?? What?? I wasn’t told anything when I picked out the colour and I said the same thing that I should’ve been warned so I could’ve picked a different colour. It gets worse – you can literally see where the extension starts because there were sizeable humps on each nail – no fillers whatsoever. AND THEN they kept offering for the same nail tech to just put some glitter on them and I kept saying no because those nails were way past the point of saving with some sparkles. I really wish I was making this up. I requested to just have everything removed because I had to go to work in the next hour and I couldn’t stand those horrible nails. You know what they said?? THEY CAN’T BECAUSE THE NAIL TECH HAS ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. THEY CAN PUT GLITTER BUT CAN’T TAKE THEM OFF. WOW. JUST WOW. I had to rush to find another nail salon and pay to get those horrible nails off. I WAS TOLD THAT THE NAIL TECH WAS THEIR MASTER ARTIST AND HAS 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. I’m sorry but if you can see that the nails are looking a bit funky during the whole process, WHY DID YOU KEEP DOING IT?? THAT WAS SO BAD.

Good Value, nice staff, and good nail skills. I added some designs, additional cost wasnt expensive compair to other nail salone.

I love my lashes. The girl that did my lashes did an a great job! I forgot to get her name though because I was in a rush to leave. Thank you!!
