With a focus on simplicity and quality, Le Gourmand lets diners indulge in delicious epicurean fare from across the world in relaxed and contemporary surrounds. Pair up and head into the intimate wine bar-inspired setting and tuck into a delicious platter of choice. Groupies can choose to chomp on six cheeses from the Fromagerie, served with caramelised apple puree, dried fig paste, grapes and a selection of breads; or, instead opt for the charcuterie board, featuring six meat picks, homemade mustard fruits, beetroot relish, cornichons and bread. There’s also the option to enjoy a bit of both, with the meat and cheese board. Each guest gets a glass of wine to wash down the goodness. Those desiring more deliciousness can upgrade their pecking package and add a filling degustation to the feast, selecting any six dishes on offer, such as grilled chorizo with roast capsicum and sherry vinegar; sweet paprika and gruyere croquettes with basil pesto; or fried camembert with tomato and sweet chilli jam. Take another step toward total indulgence and add a dessert tasting plate to the mouth-watering mix, which features a choice of four petite fours, along with tea and coffee and a bottle of wine.

Reviews

We had dinner twice at Le Gourmand and loved the tasting plate (great varity), as well as the cheese plate. The service was excellent and I am looking forward to many more dinners there. They also offer sandwiches & pasta dishes, but my fav are the tasting plates. the atmosphere is really nice and an open fire place makes it cosy. Uli, Urbanspoon

The six-plate degustation was lovely. Friend and I really liked the fried arancini with saffron, fior de latte mozzarella & aioli, balsamic marinated mushrooms, and pan fried haloumi with beurre noisette & preserved lemon. Charcuterie and cheese board was a delight; love the duck rillette. Apple puree and dried fig paste with pedro matched well with cheese. The six-plate dessert was heaven. Tiramisu parcel, tropical island, and chocolate & pistachio were our favourite. Friend said the coffee was rich with aroma. I loved the cinnamon tea; just exceptional. Friendly service & will definitely go back.. – neko meow, Urbanspoon, Jul 2012
