Awe-inspiring acrobatics inspire adrenaline-charged pupils in secure workshop surrounds at Melbourne’s Flying Trapeze Centre. Soloists and paired-up pals alike fly in for two hours of unique fun, learning the basics of the trapeze under the watchful eye of aerial pros. After the initial warm-up and safety briefing, thrill-seekers explore the ins and outs of manoeuvring the body into prime position, hooking legs around the bar, hanging upside down and taking a leap of faith.



A solid safety harness and net swap the fear factor for exhilaration and yahoos, and those with the knack may even get a chance to try the ‘catch and return’ move, which sees budding acrobats let go of the trapeze mid-flight before being caught by one of the professional aerial artists. Groupies also get a $45 voucher to put towards Flying Trapeze Centre’s ten-week beginners’ course, as well as 25% off aerial classes.
