About This Deal
You will meet your local Melbourne guide at the entrance (Flinders Street) of the ACMI - Australian Centre for the Moving Image building at Federation Square at 10am. From here you will be given an outline of the tour and then progress down to Birrarung Marr aka the shore of the Yarra River. From here you will be given an insight into pre colonised Melbourne.
As we wander along the Birrarung you'll be introduced to sustainable urban design and architectural elements not known to many of the local Melburnian's who walk past daily. We will discuss what local governments are doing to help create a more comfortable and appealing urban environment for all to enjoy and visually see how they are starting to shape our future. From here we will board a tram and head out to some of Melbourne's most eclectic inner city neighbourhoods to visit inspiring local businesses doing a world of good.
After a short coffee break, you will be introduced to some of the change makers helping not only Melbourne, but the world to become a more socially balanced, accepting and safer place. You will have the opportunity to browse locally made products, as well as products made from materials that would otherwise be in landfill. We will then board the tram one last time and head towards one of the worlds most inspiring urban green spaces.
We will conclude the tour with a stroll along a gorgeous green passage where you will experience local bird and plant life. You will be given introduction to our last stop, which you will then be able to enjoy for as long as you desire. There will be lunch, as well as drinks and snacks available for purchase from a delicious organic cafe and supermarket, as well as the opportunity to explore the incredible green space.
