Dishes may include:
- Kitfo - finely chopped prime beef, seasoned with mitmita and spiced ghee, served raw (tartar steak style), or slightly cooked
- Gored gored - raw cubed prime beef smothered with awaze and spiced clarified butter
- Lamb, beef or chicken tips - sautéed with onion, capsicum, butter, garlic and seasoned salt, with or without chillies
- Kay wot - lean beef pieces simmered in garlic, onions, cooked with tomato paste and a mix of spices
- Doro wot - tender chicken drumsticks, stewed in a rich tomato paste mixed with onion, garlic and a mix of Ethiopian spices, cooked traditionally
- Marinara - seafood mix sautéed with onion, capsicum, garlic, spices and seasoned salt
- Shiro - ground split peas cooked slowly in a flavourful sauce of blended spices
- Dinich - potatoes and carrots cooked with onion and a blend of flavourful spices
- Messer - split lentils stewed in a rich tomato paste, with onion and garlic

About Abyssinian Restaurant
Abyssinian Restaurant welcomes patrons to savour traditional Ethiopian cuisine in the heart of Adelaide. The menu includes a broad array of beef, chicken, lamb and seafood specialities, served on a large flat bread called injera. Additionally, the eatery dishes up a variety of snacks and a host of drinks, including imported Ethiopian beers, to accompany the meals. For customers' convenience, takeaway service is also available, and the venue features both an indoor and outdoor seating area.
