Surfboards and wetshirts are provided to help prepare peeps to carve up the foam while an instructor takes them through skills such as handling, paddling, standing, wave selection and surfer etiquette. The lessons are held in waist-deep water to give Groupies a chance to become comfortable in the water. Riders also receive a $10 voucher to put towards their next lesson.

Currumbin Alley Surf School

Located at Currumbin Alley, a surf spot renowned for its all-weather longboard wave, Currumbin Alley Surf School offers people the chance to learn the frothy arts. The school offers a variety of group lessons including special groups for ladies and children as well as private lessons. An intermediate program helps more experienced surfers hone their skills while school holiday programs give grommets something to do through the summer.
