The Hotel: Barlings Beach Holiday Park
Between the towns of Batemans Bay and Moruya lies 22 acres of absolute beach front land, and on those 22 acres, sits Barlings Beach Holiday Park. There are no roads to cross between the holiday park and the beach - guests simply wander out their front door and stroll out onto the sand. Head in the opposite direction and you’ll be within close proximity to licensed clubs, shops, lawn bowls, golf, zoo, boat ramp and tennis courts, if you can tear yourself away from the salty sea, that is.
Guests choose one of three types of accommodation during their stay. The Standard Cabin is a back-to-basics, older style cabin - the park’s most popular choice of cabin with easy access to the beach and comfortable furnishings. The Spa Cabin is ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway. The cabin features a spa bathroom and a private verandah from which to relax and reconnect, just a short stroll from the beach. Last, but certainly not least, is the Palm Villa, the park’s newest style of accommodation in the most ideal of locations close to the beach, pool, playground and amenities. The villa features an open plan living area that opens out to a spacious deck, and is ideal for families or groups of friends.
The Area: Tomakin and Batemans Bay
Located at the point where the Clyde River meets the Tasman Sea, Batemans Bay is a small coastal town packed full of beachside charm and holiday vibes, and Tomakin is an ideal base from which to explore the area. While Tomakin itself offers an expansive beach and local attactions, the bounty of nearby beaches that surround Batemans Bay are a well-kept secret amongst initiated visitors, while mountains and river scenery offer scenic vistas in every direction.
Spend time soaking up the natural splendour of the area with a picnic down on Corrigans Beach. Spot colourful yachts, native birdlife and happy holidaymakers with a walk by the ocean or trade water for trees with a bush hike, keeping eyes peeled for kangaroos and even wombats. On a sunny day, make a splash at one of several unspoiled beaches or hop aboard a fishing charter to reel in dinner.
Next, drive just a few minutes from Batemans Bay down the road to Mogo, renowned for its budding creative scene and interactive zoo. Stroll into quaint boutiques to find art, craft and antique pieces or simply savour the yesteryear atmosphere with a wander around pioneer village. The Mogo Zoo offers several animal encounters where nature lovers can get up close and personal with creatures great and small like meerkats, red pandas or snakes. For the experience of a lifetime, book in to feed one of the towering white lions.

They were very clean and comfortable. The grassed area out the front was great for the kids to run around on and the BBQ area in the middle was great. The park has everything a family needs, the beach, pool, playground and a play room with pool table, table tennis and a few arcade games.

The facilities are great, clean and the staff is extremely friendly. The park is very well maintained with great passion. It is very close to a very clean beach. I love this spot. Will come back for sure!
