Groupon Recommends

Make the most of the five-day lift pass and hit the slopes of Happo One, with terrains that suit skiers and boarders of all skill and experience levels. When ready for a break from the slopes, head to one of the restaurants in Hakuba Village, many of which offer an authentic Japanese experience. For those up for letting loose after a day on the slopes, the village boasts a vibrant nightlife scene, or others choose to soothe tired bodies in one of the nearby hot springs, perhaps enjoying a traditional Japanese “Onsen” bathhouse experience. The surrounding area also offers a selection of fun activities, such as night skiing and boarding, visits to the Zenkoji Temple and the Snow Monkeys.

Reviews

I rate the snow quality higher than Europe. Hakuba is in the 'Alps' area of Japan only a two hour bullet train ride from Tokyo Central Station.
