Highlights

• Be prepared for emergencies with a comprehensive first aid course
• Training will consist of a max 7 hr classroom course with online or Workbook pre-work
• Course topics include assessing an emergency situation, CPR, allergic reactions and asthma, control of major external bleeding, venomous bites and stings, and fractures and spinal injuries
• No prerequisites needed for the course, but participants should have the capacity to perform CPR on the floor
• A nationally-recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued to all successful participants

Course Content

• Assessing an emergency situation
• Airway and breathing management
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation techniques (CPR)
• Automated External Defibrillation
• First Aid management of the unconscious casualty
• Medical conditions including cardiac, diabetes, epilepsy
• Infection control and First Aid for minor wounds
• Allergic reactions and asthma
• Control of major external bleeding and shock.
• Management of near drowning
• Hyperthermia and hypothermia
• Burns and electric shock
• Eye and soft tissue injuries
• Venomous bites and stings
• Fractures and spinal injuries
• Head, chest, and abdominal injuries
• Assessment of the sick and injured
• Recording vital signs
• Communicating details of an incident
• Debriefing and evaluation of response to critical incidents

All Ages First Aid Training

All Ages First Aid Training is located along Day Road in Rockingham. They offer nationally accredited first aid training, which includes a mix of online study with a hands-on practical session. Courses include CPR, basic emergency life support, and comprehensive first aid.
