The Hotel
Bayview Chateau Tongariro is a magnificent old art deco hotel nestled at the foot of Mt Ruapehu. Our two night stay at the Chateau was a delight. Service first class. Spacious rooms and plenty to keep one amused. Meals delicious and served with finesse. Sitting in front of a warm fire with the background music of a piano and a fine singer at the end of the evening capped off a very pleasant end to each day. Superb scenery and some great walks.
