The Hotel: Alpine Retreat
Offering a free buffet continental breakfast, Alpine Retreat Mt Buller is ideally located for skiing and snowboarding. Warm up after a day of skiing in the indoor pool, sauna, or hot tub. Alpine Retreat is located 656 feet from the center of the Mt Buller Alpine Village and the Bourke Street ski run. Mansfield is a 1-hour drive away, and Melbourne is a 3.5-hour drive.
The property features spectacular views of Mt Buller and the surrounding high country. Guests enjoy the ski hire and a games room with table tennis. You can relax in the shared lounge area. Also on offer is a laundry and a mini-mart. Accommodation options include self-contained apartments and bed and breakfast rooms. The Area: Mt Buller, VIC
Mount Buller is a scenic three-hour drive from Melbourne and is the most accessible alpine resort in Australia. Visitors breathe in the fresh alpine air and enjoy breathtaking views in both summer and winter months. Mt Buller provides a range of activities for the warmer months, including food and wine events and motor sports. During winter, the mountain hosts 300 hectares of terrain that suits skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. With 22 lifts, sightseers have some of the most spectacular views on hand.
