Set on 12 hectares of natural tropical gardens, this four-star accommodation is only few steps away from the Senggigi Beach and boasts a private beach area for its guests. Comprised of thatched-roof bungalows and two-story properties, the hotel spreads out views of the lagoon and the wilderness from all its windows. Located only a few kilometres from Pura Batu Bolong temple, ferry terminal and Pantai Senggigi sightseeing spot, the spot is great for travellers looking to explore the island.

Rooms are split into those that offer the view of the ocean water and those closer to the green foliage surrounding the building. All feature rattan wall panels, Wi-Fi service and flat-screen TVs, as well as minifridges, coffeemakers and desks. The Area: Lombok

Lombok is often referred to as the “unspoiled Bali”, but the neighbouring island is much more than just that. A veritable paradise punctuated by waterfalls, rainforest and the second-highest volcano in Indonesia, the destination still retains much of its unique ‘Sasak’ culture that helps it stand apart from its Balinese sister. To the west of the island, Mataram’s collection of villages makes up the largest city on the island and is filled with market vendors, while Senggigi is the main tourist hotspot due to its many bars, clubs and restaurants.

Spend a day beach-hopping around the local area, but be sure to check out the famed Kerangdangan Beach where swims can be followed up with satay from a waterfront ‘warung’ (kiosk). Opportunities to surf, scuba dive or kayak can be found right around the island, while more of the natural surroundings are ready to be explored with a rainforest trek or waterfall day trip. Hire a boat and venture to the Gili Islands, which boast scores of coral reefs and a relaxed atmosphere.
