The Hotel: Bordello Hotel

Guests can snuggle up for a cosy retreat in a historic property in the heart of Echuca. Designed with romantic retreats in mind, the inn is comprised of eight suites with Queen size beds in all rooms.

Combining the ambiance of a bygone era with modern facilities, the property offers rooms with their own ensuite. Many rooms also boast a spa bath to soak away the hours or an open wood fireplace for cold nights. Groupies slip into utter relaxation during their two-night stay, where they can simply enjoy the comforts of the room or venture further afield. The Area: Echuca

Formerly Australia’s largest inland port, Echuca may no longer be the trade hub that it once was in the mid-1800s but it presents an enchanting experience for tourists chasing rich colonial history or the gentle buzz of riverside life. With Echuca resting on the banks of the Murray River, guests simply could not visit the town without a trip down the waterway. Many choose to do this via one of the historic paddle steamers, which not only give travellers the chance to view the region by water but also educate eager minds on its colonial past.

For those who prefer to do things on their own way, there are wineries in the region to visit and sample, like The Holden Museum, The Great Aussie Beer Shed, and loads of other activities which is adventurous.
