The Experience
Participants of this one-day tour to the New South Wales’ region of Orange have a chance to experience some slow-paced farm life and pick their own cherries from one of the local orchards. Breathing crisp fresh air, both adults and kids can enjoy time amongst nature and have fun with friends and family. On the way, the bus stops at the Blue Mountain Echo Point, where participants can take some photos of the 3 sisters. We will We will also be driving through Mount Panorama circuit in Bathurst. The Itinerary
7:00 AM – City Pickup Location: 24 Rawson Place, Haymarket Please stand in front of Service NSW at least 15 minutes prior to departure.
7:40 AM – Parramatta Pickup Location: Corner of Argyle Street & Church Street, Parramatta Please stand in front of the Westfield main entrance, near LAB cafe at least 15 minutes before departure.
9:00 AM – Echo Point (Three Sisters) Stop to enjoy the spectacular views of the Blue Mountains’ Jamison Valley and the iconic Three Sisters rock formation. Time provided: 20 minutes
11:00 AM – Mount Panorama / Lunch at Bathurst Drive through the famous Mount Panorama circuit and then stop in Bathurst for lunch. Lunch options include McDonald’s, KFC, or Hungry Jack’s. Time provided: 45 minutes
1:00 PM – Cherry Picking Pick fresh, juicy cherries at a local orchard. Time provided: 2 hours 15 minutes
7:20 PM – Parramatta Drop-Off Passengers will be dropped off at the same location where they were picked up.
8:00 PM – City Drop-Off Passengers will be dropped off at the same location where they were picked up.
The Area: Orange, NSW
Situated about an hour's drive west of Sydney, the region of Orange welcomes holidaymakers with picturesque landscapes, slow-paced farms, and wineries, as well as a number of restaurants that serve up dishes based on locally sourced produce. The area is known for its fertile volcanic soils ideal for cultivating olives, grapes, apples, and cherries. Visitors to Orange can tuck into local specialties during the food festivals organized regularly, or shop the farmers' markets popular all year round.
History lovers can explore the city of Orange, neoclassical buildings, and churches. They may follow the City Heritage Trail boasting about 40 historical sites and visit the Orange Regional Gallery to discover some local culture. Active types can also choose to hit one of the trails that lead to the summit of the old volcanic peak, Mt Canobolas.
