The Experience

Explore the gems of Egypt while on this 10-day tour, including transfers and accommodation. Discover the Great Pyramids, Sphinx, Philae Temple, The Luxor Temple and the famous Valley of the Kings, and embark on a cruise of The Nile. While on board, admire the surrounding views. Then hop off a boat to visit Dendara, Edfu or one of the other waterside temples. During the tour stay at the hotels, such as Barceló Pyramids, or similar, as well as on board a cruise ship M/S Princess Sarah 2, and enjoy selected meals.

The Itinerary

Day 1 (no meals) - Cairo

  • Upon arrival in Cairo, be met by the travel representative in Egypt and transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay

Day 2 (breakfast and lunch) - Cairo

  • After breakfast, meet your private Egyptologist tour guide and a driver, and embark on a tour of Giza; visit the Great Pyramid, a royal burial chamber and the Sphinx
  • Enjoy lunch en route; later that day visit the Egyptian Museum which houses a huge collection of Pharaonic antiquities, especially the golden treasures of Tut Ankh Amun
  • Return to hotel for an overnight stay

Day 3 (breakfast, lunch and dinner) - Luxor

  • Upon arrival to Luxor, embark on The Nile cruise, visit the great Luxor Temple and the magnificent Karnak Temple of Amun with its famous Hypostyle Hall and the 134 huge columns, the Statue of Ramses II, the Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut and the Sacred Lake
  • Stay overnight in Luxor 

Day 4 (breakfast, lunch and dinner) - Luxor

  • In the morning, explore Luxor: the West Bank (Thebes), including the Tomb of Tut Ankh Amun (optional) and other royal tombs, such as the one of Ramses VI in the Valley of the Kings
  • Visit Hatshepsut funerary temple at Dier El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon, then be transferred back to the cruise for lunch
  • In the afternoon, sail through the locks of Esna to Edfu and enjoy dinner on board and an overnight stay there

Day 5 (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

  • In the morning, sail to Edfu, visit Edfu temple; then sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Sobek Temple which offers beautiful murals and reliefs; later that day sail to Aswan for an overnight stay

Day 6 (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

  • After breakfast, visit the High Dam, and Philae Temple
  • In the afternoon, sail on an Egyptian felucca around Elephantine Island and the Botanical Gardens on Kitchener Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum
  • Overnight in Aswan

Day 7 (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

  • Enjoy the day at leisure with meals on board included

Day 8 (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

  • After breakfast, sail to Kom Ombo, and then to Edu
  • Overnight in Edfu 

Day 9 (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

  • After breakfast, sail to Esna, then back to Luxor; enjoy dinner and overnight on board

Day 10 (no meals) - Luxor - Cairo

  • After breakfast, disembarkation from the ship and be transferred to the Luxor airport for a flight back to Cairo
  • Then be transferred for the final departure; the tour concludes
