The Experience
Travellers can discover the gems of China during this seven-night tour visiting Tianjin, Gubei Water Town, and Beijing, the country’s capital city and heartland. Holidaymakers will have the opportunity to visit the famous Tiananmen Square and walk along The Great Wall of China. The tour will lead participants through the ancient sites, modern streets and natural landscapes alike.
Day 1, Friday:
- Start the adventure with the international flight to Tianjin and be transferred to the hotel (please note that the departure might be scheduled one day earlier)
Day 2, Saturday:
- Take a walk through the famous Five Great Avenues in Tianjin, visit the Porcelain House and explore the Ancient Culture Street and Italian Style Street
Day 3, Sunday
- Head to Beijing; after arrival, explore the city on your own or join an optional Hutong Tour, have traditional lunch and explore the district on a rickshaw; check-in in the evening
Day 4, Monday:
- See the 2008 Olympic Games site before heading to a jade factory to learn more about China’s most precious and celebrated stone and its manufacturing process
- After lunch, head through the rugged mountain landscapes north of the city to the Great Wall of China, one of the wonders of the world
- Then, continue the journey to Gubei Water Town for an overnight stay
Day 5, Tuesday:
- Discover the charm of the ancient Gubei Water Town with its mountain landscapes and traditional architecture
- In the evening, opt to take part in additional activities
Day 6, Wednesday:
- In the morning, enjoy some leisure time or choose an optional tour to the Little Potala Palace in Chengde, boasting a fusion of Chinese and Tibetan architectural styles.
- Later on, visit the Tiananmen Square, one of the largest and grandest public plazas in the world
- Experience an oriental foot massage at a traditional Chinese medical centre where with a chance to consult a Chinese medical professional and get more insight into alternative treatments
Days 7-8, Thursday-Friday
- Transfer to the airport for the flight back
