Groupies get down with high culture at Opera Australia’s production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Taking place at the Sydney Opera House, Mozart’s two-act opera takes the audience on a journey that includes queens, dancing bears, a nine-metre serpent and hundreds of props. Director Julie Taymor – who has also directed The Lion King – has concocted her production to appeal to the child inside each audience member.
