Head to either Manly or Coogee and gain an internationally-recognised open water diving certification. The course takes place over three days and comprises of pool-based training and open water ocean dives. Get the basics down in the confines of the pool first before heading into the open water. Participants are supplied with all the equipment they’ll need, including professionally fitted tanks, weights and air fills to ensure secure underwater fun.
Pro Dive
Offering diving courses and adventures for more than 40 years, Pro Dive are dedicated to helping aspiring aquanauts become fully-fledged ocean explorers. Instructors provide a safe and relaxed environment for people to learn the ropes, allowing them to get to grips with the water at their own pace. An equipment hire department, tank filling station and retail dive shop help divers make the most of their time on the course. An additional online store contains useful equipment for divers of all levels. Pro Dive also offers an extensive line of courses, including instructor development and scuba master learning experiences.

Had a great time on my open water course! Even though it rained almost the entire time the tean at Pro-Dive Coogee made sure everyone had a blast. Our instructor Rachel was fantastic as she led Team Awesome to victory. Rachel knew all the best diving spots and she showed us lots of cool things under water...

Such great value for money! I couldn't believe how cheap it was and what a good experience. Not only was it fun and informative but we saw so much - blue grouper, a seahorse, blind shark and a number of octopuses. What an epic experience!

• Some medical conditions may require a doctor’s clearance prior to participation
• Asthma and heart problems may preclude you from learning to dive and scuba diving
• Must be able to swim 200m and tread water for 10 minutes
• All participants will be required to complete and sign a simple waiver and a medical statement 7 days prior to the experience
