Top Ryde amazing and apologies for this review. Birkenhead Point refused honour the voucher without additional $$. Reason 1; I bought the wrong size voucher (my fault) - feedback provided to the site not to use a picture of a Ute to illustrate a family car. Reason 2: car was too dirty… This could have been explained in a friendly manner but their team chose not to do this. Despite having a booking - it was exceptionally busy and I’m not sure I would have been out of there in time for school pickup.

I took my car in for a full detail at the Warrawong shopping centre branch as I had bought the car a few days prior and I wanted it properly cleaned as this is what I do with all second hand cars. It wasn’t even vacuumed properly let alone detailed. The boot was untouched. The cup holder was filthy. The stains on the seats came off with the rub of a finger so I’m unsure how it was supposedly steam cleaned. There was still dust in obvious places of the car. There were polish stains on the outside of the car. The windscreen wipers were obviously not lifted up as when I lifted it up myself the mud stains were still on the window. I have photos of most of this for evidence. Upon pickup I told them I was not happy with the service and they said bring it back and they’ll redo the whole thing all over again. There excuse was “it’s too dark”. I took it back the next day and it looked like only the boot was vacuumed. I left it at that as I didn’t want to deal with them anymore nor lose more time. The RRP was $350 for this service, I paid $280 with the Groupon deal. If I wanted a simple car wash I would’ve done it myself at home. Very disappointed and I will certainly not be going back to Star Car Wash again. Now to find another joint that’ll do a proper job. What a waste of my hard earned money.

My experience with Star Car wash is with Southland Victoria. Avoid like a plague. Got interion detailed on my Merc - now the interior is ruined. Unless you have very old car, go somewhere else
