About Coringa BJJ Welshpool

With their headquarters located in the vicinity of Leach Highway, Coringa Bjj Welshpool opens its doors to all interested in learning the arts of ancient martial techniques. The school offers classes for different ages from as young as four years old, all led by a trained and experienced master. Alongside the mysteries of judo, students can also opt to learn the balance and precision of Jiu-Jitsu.

Jiu-Jitsu is a complete martial art that offers several benefits to its practitioners. Japanese in origin, the name Jiu-Jitsu means, "Gentle Art". It is, therefore, a technical, precise, and refined modality, which demands a lot of focus and concentration from the fighters.

The fight on the ground or on the feet is developed with much more technique than strength, since the objective is to dominate the opponent, using his own faults and inattentions to his advantage. The sport is also ideal for self-defence since the immobilization techniques can be used even to control a heavier, stronger opponent.

Regular Jiu-Jitsu practice also promotes mental and physical health benefits. Besides reducing the stress of everyday life, martial arts also increases levels of well-being and personal satisfaction, thanks to the accentuated production of endorphins in the body.
