What is semi-permanent make-up?

Semi-permanent pigments are applied to the surface layer of skin, designed to define and enhance natural facial features. The pigments are implanted using microfine needles, a process which is also known as micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing. Effects will gradually fade over time, depending on factors such as age, exposure to sun and general skin care; however, top-ups can rectify this.

What about recovery?

Clients are likely to experience minor swelling of the treated area, which should fade over the following one or two days. The area will also look darker in colour immediately afterwards, with final results taking a few days to appear.

Not valid for redemption if you have any of the following health conditions: active dermatitis, skin infection or keloid scar history, epilepsy or other autoimmune diseases. Please notify the clinic if you are currently taking medication or have any medical condition. Some medications and medical conditions are contraindications for this treatment. If client has had cold sores in the past, client must take cold sores prevention at least 4 days before and continue 3 days after treatment. However, clients still can have flare ups during healing time. Client who never had cold sores can also have cold sore flare up. If this were the case, client will need to take cold sore tablets for the course of 7 days. Get prevention or treatment for Anaesthetic from compound pharmacy. If taking large doses of fish oil it is important to stop taking them at least a week before treatment. If lips are too dried or sun-damaged they will need to be exfoliated and moisturised starting at least 5 days before treatment. Otherwise, it will affect pigment retention and it may be hard to implant pigment. Not suitable for those who are currently applying Cosmelan or Dermamelan 2 around the area to be treated. If so, client must stop applying this at least two weeks before treatment. Not suitable for those who are taking blood thinners. Not suitable for those who have been on Roaccutane in the last 12 months. Anaesthetic will be delivered to our clinic. (This is a new regulation from the Health Department). Aftercare kit not Included, can be purchased from the merchant for $30 which will cover more than 3 sessions. Make-up should be avoided for at least 10 days after treatment. Very important to keep lips moisturised. Avoid direct exposure to the sun 1 week after treatment. Avoid heat exposure such as saunas, or intensive exercise for the first 24 hours. Use 50+ SPF sunscreen after 10 days. Treatment should be done at least two weeks after or two weeks before COVID-19 vaccine.
